Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has approved the construction of four new roads in different parts of the state.
The new roads which are be scattered across the three geopolitical zones in the state include Obagaji-Okokolo-Abian-Agagbe road (43km), Ikyov-Utange-Mbagwaza-Mbagba-Lessel road with spur to Hiltom (55km), Otukpo Icho-Odudaje-Aondoana road (21km) and Makurdi-Yogbo-Udei-Udei branch road (52.27km)
According to the Governor, the roads when constructed will assist farmers convey their agriculture produce to markets across the state.
Recall that earlier in May this year, Governor Ortom approved the construction 12 roads in different parts of the state, nine of which were awarded by the previous administration but abandoned.
